There is strength in numbers and regardless of geographical location or life situation, the Notre Dame Class of 1980 is a community of friends.

For more information please see the About Us page. We ask that you do not use this website for politics or sales. Our intent is to help keep classmates in touch, so please respect that purpose.

In the interest of Privacy we ask that you not share other classmate's personal information with anyone. Please contact the classmate directly and let them decide if they want to share that information.

474 Challenge!

Our 30th Reunion is just around the corner so there's no time to waste! The current record of 77.8% participation is held by the Class of 1955, and was accomplished during their 50-year Reunion.  In order to beat the all-time giving record, we need another 474 classmates to give before June 30th.

Keep in mind that ND only counts gifts in-hand.  Pledges do not count in the class giving total unless ND receives a payment on the pledge.  Additionally, ND only counts an individual's participation once during the fiscal year.  If someone gives multiple gifts during the year, the dollar amounts are counted in the total, but their participation is only counted once. So this challenge goes out to those classmates who have not yet participated. So CLICK HERE and let's get going! The Class of 80 should AT LEAST be the Class of 80%, don't you think?

After graduating with us in 1980, our classmate Joe Uhen, began an odyssey that would take him to live and work among the poorest of the poor in Piura, Peru. After graduation, Joe volunteered with the Holy Cross Fathers at the University of Portland. He worked in campus ministry in the social outreach program. Joe then moved to the South Bronx and worked with the Sisters of Mother Theresa, and it was there he decided to join the Missionary of Fathers. He studied in Mexico, Guatemala, Jerusalem, and Rome.

John Scully, Composer

Many of us will remember John Scully as a football player at Notre Dame. But, a few knew that he was also an accomplished musician. In particular, John played the piano and had an interest in composing. Several years ago, he introduced the piece "Here Come The Irish" to the world. Written with Jim Tullio and sung by Cathy Richardson, it is now a hallmark Irish song.

Recently, John and Jim introduced "Our Lady Of The Lake," a beautiful song written with the campus as inspiration. It is also sung by Cathy Richardson.

MP3s of John's music are available for download below.(see the attached files). Click on them to play or right-click and the "download" or "save as" option in your browser.
